There is an estimation of 26/100,000 of children have ataxia.

I was one of those children.

Therefore, I am interested in Childhood Ataxia.

I also have Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, ADHD.

If it wasn't for early intervention therapies in childhood in , I wouldn't be able to adequately interact with others.

I have a strong interest in Neurodevelopment.

  The Hallowell-Ratey Criteria for A DD from page 14 of Thom Hartmann's Complete Guide to ADHD     In 1992, psychiatrists Edward M. Halowell and John J. Ratey developed, through years of clinical practice, study, and observation, their own set of criteria for spotting probable ADD, particularly in adults. While this isn't an "official" set of diagnostic criteria, since its first appearance in their book Driven to Distraction it has become both lay people and clinicians measure the probably of a person having ADD.   In publishing this, they added this caveat: "The following criteria are suggested only. They are based upon our clinical experience and constitute what we consider to be the most commonly encountered symptoms in adults with Attention Defict Disorder. How I Found Out About My Genetic Variants And The Tools That I Used to Understand Them

This is a blog post about how I found out about the variants in my genome and the tools that I used to help me understand them.  I got whole genome testing done.  I got my whole genome analyzed by Dante Labs and Sequencing which are companies that specialize in Next-generation Sequencing (NGS) which is a modern method of analyzing genetic material that allows for the rapid sequencing of large amount of DNA or RNA.
